Mohair Channel liner, 2-5/8″ (68mm) wide.
Relines guide / division bars on hardtops, pickups etc (per meter)
This mohair liner is designed to replace worn or missing liner in your vehicle. This was most commonly used on classic cars and trucks from the 1940’s to the 1960s. The upright vent window posts on early Ford’s/Mercury’s ran this re-liner (as per main image), 55-59 Chevrolet Pickup trucks run this on the upright vent window posts.
It is also used to reline the short vertical metal channels on hardtops and convertibles. Typically they have a vertical channel around a foot long at the back of the door (over the striker catch), that the window and chrome or stainless frame slide up and down in. This is the product that lines that metal channel to prevent the chrome or stainless being scratched as the window is wound up and down.
A number of GM 2Dr hardtops (Pillarless) often used this above the rear quarter windows in the channel that they wind up into. Again to prevent rattling and damage to the chrome.
