These reproduction 1947-1954 Chevrolet Pickup Truck | Door Belts – Weatherstrips (Australian body) will allow you to replace your old door belts before installing your new door glass.
Using old door belts will almost certainly result in scratched glass.
Regarding CLIPS.  Please note:
The clips do not come pre-mounted to the belts (as you see in the photos). We have found there to be vast inconsistencies with the location / hole spacing in the doors for the clips to push into. (In some instances there has been up to 15mm in difference from one door to another). We have also tried many brands of aftermarket clips and been very disappointed in the poor quality, so much so that we aren’t prepare to stock the clips as they’re simply not going to do the job properly. We recommend using 1inch long beads of Sikaflex 227 spaced evenly in about 5 places on each belt and taping it place to dry overnight.
